Mr. Gaurav Khungar

Chief Executive Officer, IL&FS Water Verticals

Gaurav Khungar manages all the entities within the IL&FS Water vertical. His responsibility is to directly resolve several domestic and international assets covering 17 entities including the water sector, technology sector, oil & gas sector and special economic zone development businesses.

In an additional role, he provides strategic oversight and input to the Board of IL&FS on activities being undertaken for the resolution of IL&FS Group.

Gaurav’s overall experience of over 27 years includes managing various aspects of a business/portfolio of investments including creating wealth through operational and financial management and oversight of businesses with an enhanced focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Initial Public Offerings, Litigation Management, Lender and Investor Management and Risk Management.Gaurav has been a Senior Partner at both KPMG and PwC for the larger part of his career and been part of the M&A Global Leadership Team at KPMG.

Gaurav has completed his Masters in Business Administration.
